Review highlights

Based on 266 reviews

Mikey's Restobar / Mikey's Rock City is consistently praised for its authentic Filipino cuisine and warm, welcoming atmosphere that resonates strongly with both Filipino patrons and those seeking a genuine cultural dining experience. Reviews highlight the quality and flavor of traditional dishes like adobo, crispy pork, monggo, and pinoy-style barbecue, often described as comforting and reminiscent of home cooking. The friendly and attentive Filipino staff contribute to a hospitable environment, enhancing the overall experience. While portion sizes tend to cater to individual servings despite indications otherwise, the food is generally considered flavorful and satisfying. The lively ambiance, sometimes featuring karaoke, adds to the unique character of the venue, though it may not appeal to all diners during later hours. Practical touches, such as mosquito repellent availability, address local challenges. Overall, Mikey’s Restobar is valued for delivering a genuine taste of the Philippines in Hanoi with consistent service and a culturally rich vibe.

The food is good. I had the Adobo and the crispy pork. The portions are for 1 person even though it says 2. I would recommend not going too late to get food because there's Karaoke, and it can get annoying. Also, they have repellent in case the mosquitoes love you a lot. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly. I paid around 300K VND for everything.

We’re so glad we found this Filipino restaurant here in Hanoi- Mikey’s truly saved us! We were starving and craving rice and comforting Filipino food after days of trying different cuisines. The moment we tasted the food, it felt like home. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and cooked with love! The Filipino staff were so warm and welcoming, and we instantly felt a sense of belonging. We even made new friends here, which made the experience even more special. Thank you so much, Mikey’s, for giving us a taste of home while we were miles away. We’ll definitely come back again. Highly recommended to all Filipinos visiting Hanoi! 5/19/2025

If you are Filipino it's definitely a warm feeling eating the food we grew up with. My personal favorite was the monggo and pinoy style pork barbecue. After staying in Vietnam for a few months it was a pleasant palate refresher. The dinuguan will be a hit or miss since it would depend what region you're from. I prefer the tinumis version of Central Luzon but their version has more sauce which was alright since I grew up in the North. The sisig will probably be the one up for debate if your Filipino. For us, personally, it was our least favorite. It lacks the tangy, peppery and smoky taste from the traditional sisig. They might have tailored it to better fit a wider audience. The service is the usual warm and friendly Filipino signature. They have a mix of Bisaya and Tagalog speakers if you miss speaking in our native tounge. Will we come back again, most definitely if given the chance to travel in Hanoi again. If you are a Filipino tourist please do visit as well and support our countrymen taking a chance abroad and sharing our culinary experience with other nations. If you are a foreigner, staff can speak English and Vietnamese. You might want to experience the party culture of the Philippines of drinking and singing all night. This would be a good place to start. Cheers!

Nice server, the food was awesome and felt authentic. I wish the interior and inside was better-lit though. But overall worth a try if you want to eat pinoy food in Vietnam.
